Families use Google Persons Finder to find loved ones after Boston marathon explosion

After the Boston marathon explosion, families and friends went to social media to try and find their loved ones. Facebook and twitter were the main sites used by many of them since it was a bit difficult to find people in the midst of all the commotions.

Mobile phone communication had been suspended in order to avoid possible remote bomb detonation.

With internet as the only posible means at of communication at the time Google came in to the rescue by creating a tool called People Finder for Boston marathon explotions to help users  locate their loved ones.

Google Person is a Google.org project that helps people around around the world to find their loved ones in the aftermath of a Natural or humanitarian disaster.
