YotaPhone now selling for only $211 in India

The new dual-screen smartphone, YotaPhone, was launched in India back in October 2014. During that time, it was priced at INR 23,499 ($382) which was quite costly especially in a country like India where there are a lot of quality budget smartphones. The device has just received its first price cut the following month, this brings its value down to about INR 17,999 ($292), and now, the smartphone’s price has again been  cut, this time by about INR 5,000 ($81), this just means that it can now be purchased for only INR 12,999 ($211).

As noted, the YotaPhone features two displays - the one on the front is a 4.3-inch, 1280x720 LCD, while that on the back is a 4.3-inch, 640x480 resolution electronic paper display. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8960T with dual-core 1.7GHz Krait 300 CPU and Adreno 320 GPU, and comes with 2GB RAM, 32GB storage space.

The handset also has 13 MP hind camera, 1 MP front camera, and 4G connectivity. The smartphone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and comes with a 1,800mAh battery. Its successor, the newer YotaPhone 2 was launched last month, although it hasn’t yet arrived in India.
