Plastic HTC One M8 Ace leaks again in promo images
More images of the HTC One M8 Ace have surfaced on the net before the official unveiling of the phone on June 3. The new photos appear to be official promo images that tout the key features of the new phone.
To begin with, it's similar to the HTC Butterfly S. The new HTC One M8 Ace has a plastic body instead of a metal one and moves some things around. The greatest change is that the dual camera setup has been dropped in favor of a single 13MP camera with single-LED flash on the back and a 5MP front-facing shooter, the same combo as on the HTC Desire 816 and the One mini 2.
The power key appears different from the vanilla HTC One (M8), but the One M8 Ace still supports double tap to wake function, so you won't have to reach for it that often. And it's a reach across the 5 inch screen and two front-facing speakers.
The HTC One M8 Ace has a faster version of the Snapdragon 801 chip, the one with 2.5GHz CPU clock speed. The promo images also seem to be praising the efficient power usage with the Extreme Power Saving mode.
The HTC One M8 Ace will be officially available in four colors – White, Black, Red and Blue – for a reported price of RMB 3,000 ($480), which matches up what we've heard before.
