WhatsApp Denies Google's $1 Billion Takeover Claim

WhatsApp head of business development Neeraj Arora said that they are not holding any talks with Google regarding the acquisition of the company. Speaking to AllThingsDigital Mr. Arora confirmed that such rumors were not true but declined to comment further on the issue.

Earlier this week, Digital trends which is a popular tech blog reported that WhatsApp is negotiating a $1 Billion sale to the search engine giant, which would see the popular cross platform app, which reportedly make over $100 million a month get a new owner.

WhatsApp has in recent times reported a tremendous growth both in users and profits, it is said to be processing over 18 Billion messages daily and making over $ 100 million a year.
