Skyrim Special Edition Patch Causing The Game To Crash

When a software or app manufacture say they are releasing a patch, it is usually meant to fix or correct a certain error . However in the case of Skyrim Special Edition, the recently released patch (version 1.1 for those wondering) which was meant to address some issues with the game, such as audio, seems to have gone from bad to worst as the patch has been reported to crash the game.

According to some tweets posted about the patch, some gamers have been complaining that when they load up a previously saved game or fast-travelling, the game will crashes on them. But of course not every user is experiencing this issue, but there are more than enough for this to be an issue. The good news is that Bethesda has at least  acknowledged that the problem exist.

In a post on the forums, a Bethesda community manager wrote on social media, “We’re looking into these crash reports. We are happy for your feedback. We will let you guys know as soon as possible.” As of now there does not seem to be a workaround as users have reported that uninstalling and reinstalling the game doesn’t seem to have made a difference.

As of now, the gamers are only hoping that the company will get on this ASAP. We’ll keep you guys updated when a fix has been released. But in the meantime we hope you’ll just have to keep trying and hope that you’ll be able to load a game without any issues.
