New Facebook Tools To Track Social Concersations
Facebook has once again stepped up with a twitter like move, this time with the announcement of new tools that will allow publishers to display trending conversations and topics from the social network.
The company has just launched two new APIs that will allow select media partners to track trending topics, public posts and hashtags on Facebook and display them on websites and news broadcasts. Its initial media partners will include Buzzfeed, CNN, BSkyB, NBC’s Today Show, Slate and Mass Relevance; Facebook said it will make the tools available to additional media and marketing partners in coming weeks.
Other companies are also expected to tap into Facebook's new tools in future to help in their marketing planning.
