HTC to Co-develop own processor with ST-Ericsson
HTC has signed an agreement with ST-Ericsson to co-develop the chipset which is set to start usage in 2013.
According to china times, HTC will develop its own application processor that will be incorporated into its own low end smartphones. it is however unclear why the company has decided to break ties with Qualcomm.
HTC has used Qualcomm's for sometime and it may be possible that the company has decided to rely on its own processors.
